Macrona bel bachmel


1 bag of penne pasta
Meat Filling:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 tbsp of tomato paste
salt, pepper
crushed red pepper (optional)

Béchamel sauce
6 tablespoons of flour
6 tablespoons of oil/butter
5cc milk and 1cc chicken broth or 6cc of milk
pinch of nutmeg

1. Boil the pasta

Prepare the Meat
2. Sauté 1 small finely chopped onion and 1 clove of finely chopped garlic in a little bit of olive oil until yellow. Add 1 lb of ground beef. When cooked season with salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tsp crushed red pepper. Add 2 tbsp of tomato paste and sauté for 1 min. add 1/4 c of water and turn heat to low for 5 min. Remove from heat
Prepare the Bachmel:
3. Heat flour and whisk in with butter until the raw flour smell cooks off and it is about to change color. Add milk/broth slowly while whisking continuou
