Vegetables contain the following: calcium, magnesium, potassium, folic acid, iron, beta-carotene, vitamin B-complex, vitamin-C, vitamin A, and vitamin K. This includes the antioxidants that help capture free radicals in our body that would be prevention for stress, infection and cancer. Furthermore, they help us maintain our immunity level by boosting it and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke

Recommended intake: according to pyramid 4-8 servings per day

Serving size: 1 cup of raw vegetables or ½ cup of cooked vegetables per meal.
