Nutritional characteristics
Seafood contains good sources of protein, vitamins and minerals. Good source of Vitamin B 6 , B 12, biotin and niacin, Vitamin A and Vitamin D. Minerals found in seafood are iodine, iron, selenium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Calcium is found in canned fish.
Seafood reduces the risk of heart disease and lowers blood triglycerides.  It helps in lowering blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart disease by improving the heart’s function and reduces damage. Also helps improving the symptoms of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and psoriasis. Omega 3 content benefits the nervous system and its development like brain, and eye. It was an additive factor in Alzheimer prognosis.

Recommended intake: according to the pyramid, it should be 2-3 servings per week.
