Nutritional characteristics
Meat provides vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin A that helps healthy skin, bone, eye, and a stronger immune system. Also, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 that helps maintain a healthy heart by performing many important functions. Red meat contains iron that facilities the transportation of oxygen to various parts of the body. Minerals such as Zinc promote a stronger immune system and optimize liver functions. Other nutrients such as vitamin D, copper, magnesium, selenium and N-3 fatty acids can also be found in meat.
Recommended intake: As meat is high in sodium, it is recommended to have red meat 2-3 times a month to prevent high blood pressure. Chicken is recommended to have twice a week.

Serving size: 80-100 grams of red meat and ¼ of chicken
